Planes, trains, busses and high fructose corn syrup

For the past 3 years of travel via planes, trains and busses, I have come to understand a humanity which understandably is guarded for personal protection. In Seattle, at the bus stop, I read a "how to ride safely" signage: one of the most important deterrents they suggested was by the encouragement of headphones. It was all news to me- don't get me wrong, I love my music and zoning out when I am on the bus, though I can only think of all the sounds I miss while riding on the bus, exploring the ever inspiring cities. We are all in our bubble, head bubble. The people we meet along our travels on our many paths are for a reason.

Thank you to my friend Silvano who has traveled with me in India's buses and rickshaws. We smiled and talked with others on the bus, and we didn't even speak the same language ;)
